Preparing your materials

The Editorial Board invites submissions pertaining to any of the journal’s columns, i.e. East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Islamic World, North Eurasia, Central Asia, and Europe, as well as Book Reviews, Conference Reports and Commentaries.

The Editorial Board favours manuscripts ranging from 5,500 to 6,500 words, intended for a readership of scholars across various disciplines while remaining accessible to non-specialists. Submissions should be thoroughly documented and possess lasting academic value.

The content published in Eurázsia Szemle does not necessarily reflect the views of the editors or the publisher. The responsibility for the opinions expressed and the accuracy of the information presented in the articles lies solely with the respective authors.

Authors are required to format their paper according to our guidelines and to use British English spelling. By submitting their articles, authors acknowledge the right of Eurázsia Szemle to edit their work with regard to linguistic accuracy, clarity and extraneous content. STYLE SHEET

Material accepted for publication need to be brought into line with the following guidelines.

Abstract

  Articles should include an abstract of 150-300 words.

  4-5 keywords in English should be listed beneath the abstract.

  Authors should provide their full name, title and institutional affiliation.

Text

  Articles should be approximately 6,000 words/50,000 characters, to be exceeded by no more than 5%, i.e., 6,300 words (including spaces, footnotes and reference list).

  Manuscripts should be submitted in MS Word format on A4 paper, with margins of 2.5 cm on all sides (left, right, top, and bottom). The required typeface is Times New Roman. 

  Text:

11 pt, normal, single line spacing, spacing: 6 pt after each paragraph, justified alignment.

Authors must on no account leave any field codes in their submitted work.

  Chapters:

Font size: 13 pt, regular

Line spacing: single

Spacing: 6 pt after each paragraph

Alignment: justified

  Chapters and subchapters should be numbered using the decimal system (e.g., Chapter 1, Subchapter 1.1, Sub-subchapter 1.1.1, etc.).

  Authors must on no account leave any field codes in their submitted work.

Tables, figures, maps

  All images (i.e. pictures, photographs, maps and illustrations) should be generated and saved as vector graphics (i.e. PDF, AI, TIFF, PSD format).

  All graphs, charts and diagrams should be generated in MS Excel and be exported into SVG format.

  All line art, graphs, charts and schematics should be saved/exported directly from the original application and file in which they were generated. Please attach all graphic files as separate files to the manuscript.

  Titles of tables and figures should be in Times New Roman, 11 pt, regular, and positioned above the table.

  Sources of tables and figures should be in Times New Roman, 11 pt, regular, and placed below the table.

References

  References should be formatted according to APA Style (7th ed.). APA Style uses the author–date citation system, in which a brief in-text citation directs readers to a full reference list entry. For more details, see at https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/references.

  A list of References, in alphabetical order, should be included at the end of the article.

  Every in-text citation must correspond to an entry in your list of references.

  Notes on the text should be formatted as footnotes.
